Charlie Plauche is a Partner at S3 Ventures. At S3, Charlie’s responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating investments, performing due diligence, and portfolio company management. Charlie currently serves on the boards of S3 portfolio companies Alkami Technology, Tango Health, and Zlien. He also works closely with S3’s investments in Liveoak Technologies and TVA Medical. Previous board duties include Favor Delivery (acquired by H-E-B), Kimbia (acquired by GiveGab) and Pristine (acquired by Upskill).Â
Prior to S3, Charlie was with Harbert Private Equity Funds, a subsidiary of Harbert Management Corporation. At Harbert, Charlie analyzed and structured leveraged buyouts in the healthcare and manufacturing sectors and assisted with portfolio management. He received his M.B.A. from the McCombs School at the University of Texas in Austin and his B.S. in Finance from the University of Mississippi, where he was a Holmes Scholarship recipient and a Mississippi Eminent Scholar.
Gavin Gillas is the co-founder of Giving Docs, a digital fundraising platform. He is focused on helping innovators make progress and brings strong entrepreneurship professional skills in Business Planning, Sales, International Business and Intellectual Property.

Gavin is head of partnership at digital design firm thirteen23 as well as co-founder and former CEO at The Magazine Channel. His past experience includes IP law and technology commercialization consulting.
He has mentored entrepreneurs at Galvanize, Capital Factory, ImpactHub and TechStars. Currently, Gavin is also an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship at the McCombs School of Business.
